Hammer recounts how he survived mob action


Celebrated Ghanaian music producer, Edward Nana Poku Osei, well known as Hammer, has shared one of his experiences he will never forget.

He revealed in an interview Newshuntermag.com chanced upon that he was nearly lynched.

Hammer told Okyeame Quophi on Accra-based Angel FM that it all started after a Nigerian guy falsely accused them of being armed robbers.

Detailing the story, he indicated that the guy shouted and called people to the scene after he warned him for harassing his girlfriend.

The popular music producer stated that the guy disturbed his girlfriend for her number when she was with them at a location looking for a taxi after his car broke down.

After they boarded a taxi, Hammer said he called the guy and warn while his gun was placed on his lap.

The taxi driver after seeing the gun ordered them to get out of his car.

Following this, the guy then blew a false alarm—tagging them as armed robbers.

He recalled the severe beatings they received.

According to him, the intervention of someone called Yaw Barima who identified him saved his life.

After this experience, Hammer said he ran to the church, kneel and thanked God. He further stated that it happened around 200 and something.
