Pay teachers well – Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest implores government

Ghanaian rapper, Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, popularly known as M.anifest, has implored the government to pay teachers well.

He made this statement following the viral story of Oswald Gennuh.

9-year-old Oswald has been trending in Ghana after he wrote a note to his mother about ‘Our day’.

Oswald’s mother, Rita Gennu disclosed in an interview how his teacher at the Christ Ambassador School at Dansoman in Accra, Mrs Appiah has helped in shaping his life.

“Oswald is one child that I can say is a bit troublesome and doesn’t sit in class always roaming about, but I saw him as one of the children that I can take as my own, then take good care of him and love him,” Mrs Appiah said in an interview with Joy News.

Reacting to this in a tweet Newshuntermag.com has come across, the ‘God MC’ composer said teachers have to be respected for the roles they play.

“Respect teachers. Pay them well. Don’t disappoint. They’re literally shaping the future,” M.anifest wrote on Twitter.
