Update on Shatta Wale’s hoax gun attack: Ghana’s popular dancehall artiste remanded by a court

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, a popular Ghanaian dancehall musician, known widely as Shatta Wale, has been remanded.

He appeared before the Accra Circuit Court today, October 21, 2021.

Shatta Wale and his aides, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, otherwise known as Nana Dope, Eric Venator, aka Gangee and Iddriss Yussif pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against them.

A plea by the legal counsel of Shatta Wale and his aides, Mr Jerry Avenorgbo, to grant them bail was not accepted by the court.

The court was presided over by Mr Emmanuel Essandoh.

The case has been adjourned to Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Shatta Wale was arrested after a hoax report about his gun attack went viral some days ago.
