The Ghana Police Service has explained why Accra FM presenter, Kwabena Bobie Ansah was arrested.
Reports about his arrest went rife in the late hours of Thursday, February 10, 2022.
He is reported to have been apprehended after his show.
In a statement Newshuntermag.com has come across, the Police confirmed his arrest.
They explained that he was arrested for publicizing false news.
“Kwabena Bobie Ansah Arrested for Publication of False News
“Mr Kwabena Bobbie Ansah of Accra FM was arrested yesterday, February 10, 2022, by the Accra Regional Police Command in connection with an alleged case of publication of false news and offensive conduct.
“His arrest became necessary after he turned down several invitations from the Police to him and others involved in the case to assist with investigation.
“The Accra Regional Police Command will issue a full statement on the matter in due course,” the statement from the police read.
