The court case involving Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, has been adjourned.

He is charged with publicizing false news.

The case has been adjourned to May 25, 2022, by an Accra Circuit Court.

Shatta Wale pleaded not to the charge when he appeared before the court some months ago.

Three others, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Shatta’s personal assistant, Eric Venator, a graphic designer, and Iddrisu Yussif, a beautician were also charged for abetment of criminal publication of false news.

They were granted bail after they denied the charge.

During the latest court sitting, the defence lawyers led by Jerry Avenogbo wrote to the court to inform them about his client’s unavailability in the country.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, according to a report, is also on a national assignment.
