Sefa laments the ill-treatment given to women in the Ghanaian Music Industry

Ghanaian songstress, Sefa has lamented how women are treated in the Ghanaian Music Industry.

She claimed women are treated differently as far as the Ghana Music Industry is concerned.

To her, how women are treated in Europe differs from how female musicians are treated in Ghana.

She stressed that the perception of women in the Ghanaian Music Industry is always different.

The ‘Fever’ hitmaker averred women are easily targeted because they are emotional.

“It just has to do with the way women are treated in Europe, women and men work equally, earn money and enjoy each other company. But coming down here, women are treated differently and always perceived as the victims and meek,” she said in an interview on Y 107.9 FM’s ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe’ show with Kojo Manuel.

“Women are the easy target. Because women are very emotional, it’s believed that we will react more than men, that’s why they always come for us,” Sefa further stated.

The Black Avenue Muzik artiste is currently promoting her new song ‘Soft Life’.
