Popular Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, known in private life as Samuel Adu Frimpong, has responded to claims that he was denied a USA visa.
Some news websites in Ghana reported that the ‘Omo Ada’ rapper got his visa denied some time ago when he applied.
He did not utter a word when the rumours circulated online.
This happened after he was apprehended for unlawfully displaying a gun online in 2021.
He finally broke his silence on the report when he was interviewed by ace Ghanaian broadcaster, Abeiku Santana on his Atuu program which is aired on United Television (UTV).
Medikal stated that he was never refused a visa.
He also expressed his disappointment in the news portals which published such a false story.
“I was never refused the visa. Some of these things, you just let it happen, then you let them see you in America. They will see you acting gentle and having fun. That’s damage control. Sometimes you don’t have to talk.
“People in Ghana, it’s unfortunate that some of the bloggers, big names like Pulse Ghana, I respect them so much so sometimes when they bring out some news like that I just feel but why would such a big blog bring something like that?” the Ghanaian rapper posited.
