Details about when the body of Christian Atsu will be arriving in Ghana have been revealed.
Sadly, the famous Ghanaian footballer was found dead on Saturday, February 18, after he was missing for some days following the Turkey earthquake.
His agent, Nana Sechere, confirmed his demise in a tweet.
He further asked the public to respect the privacy of the deceased footballer’s family.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration disclosed in a statement that the mortal remains of the deceased football player will arrive in Accra on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 7:40 pm.
Atsu’s family, the government and the Ghana Football Association will receive the body when it arrives from Istanbul, Turkey.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, and we pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Christian Atsu,” the statement concluded.
Christian Atsu passed on at the age of 31.
