Ghanaian musician, King Promise, has hinted at his collaboration with Black Sherif.
During an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3, Promise revealed that they are planning on working soon.
His disclosure came after stating that he has not worked with Sherif before.
“We haven’t worked together but we have a connection, sometimes not because we are friends we should force the song, I like it to be very natural. Like I Knew Sark for four years before we made a song, same thing with R2Bees, I knew Wizkid a long time before we did a song,” he said.
“I can’t reveal a lot of things but we plan on working soon, big smash, of course, it’s coming.”
On assertions that Black Sherif’s album should have won the VGMA 2023 Album of the Year, the ‘Selfish’ singer responded:
“But I think when it comes to things like this even the times that I have been nominated that I didn’t win there way so many people who thought I deserved it and should have won but it doesn’t mean whoever won did not deserve it and I respect it.”
King Promise also opened up about his admiration for Black Sherif.
“And I heard him speak about it. Big ups to Blacko. His album is one of my favourites as well. I love Blacko.”
