He didn’t show interest – Head of Communications at Charter House clarifies why Shatta Wale was not nominated in 2022 VGMA

The organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Charter House have explained why Stonebwoy was nominated in the 2022 edition but Shatta Wale wasn’t.

Questions have been raised after Stonebwoy was nominated without Shatta Wale.

If you would recall, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were banned from the award scheme after they had an altercation at the 2019 edition of the VGMA.

Explaining this in an interview on Hitz FM that Newshuntermag.com has come across, the Head of Communications at Charter House, Robert Klah said Stonebwoy showed interest in the award scheme but Shatta Wale did not.

He stressed that the Board and Academy are willing to work with anyone who shows interest in wanting to be part of the nominations.

“The scheme is in such a way that you need to show interest in order to be part. Once you show interest, we will work with you. The interest can be in the form that you are filing or giving consent. So, Stonebwoy showed interest and we worked with him,” Robert Klah told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.
