Famous Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif, has reacted to his inability to win Album of the Year at the VGMA 2023.
He won three awards, Artiste of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Song and Vodafone Most Popular Song at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The ‘Kweku The Traveller’ composer was hopeful about winning the Album of the Year, but it didn’t materialize.
When asked if he was disappointed during an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3, he said no.
Sherif said everyone nominated in the category worked hard and deserved to win.
He also revealed saying ‘yawa’ when his name was not mentioned as the winner of the Album of the Year.
Black Sherif further disclosed that he loves King Promise’s ‘5 Star’ album which beat his album in that category.
The VGMA 2023 took place on May 6, 2023, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
