Ghanaian music producer, Fredima, known in private life as Fred Kyei Mensah, has raised a concern about the ‘Murda’ lyrics by Wendy Shay.

In a post, Fredima averred Wendy is treading on dangerous lyrics.

The Ghanaian singer said in this song that she would put a gun in the head of her partner if he dumped her.

At a time that murder cases relating to relationships have been recorded in Ghana, the famous music producer expressed worry.

Mr Kyei Mensah stated that the song might encourage others to murder their partners.

He wrote on Facebook: “WENDY SHAY TREADING ON DANGEROUS LYRICS. I have been an ardent admirer of Wendy Shay since her entry into our creative space some few years ago. She’s churned out hits after hits. I chanced upon this video on Facebook and, I find the content and the context, disappointing!

A lot of relationships these days, are going through turmoil with partners, killing each other especially on the side of the men and for a song to have lyrics seemingly advancing such cause, is a source of worry. It may seem harmless however, it connotes and encourages people to kill their partners at the least provocation. Bullet, where are you? Good beads don’t rattle.”
