Black Sherif grabs five nominations at the 2023 Soundcity MVB Awards

Young Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif, has grabbed five nominations at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards.

The award scheme, which was instituted in 2016, seeks to recognize excellence from hardworking talents in Africa.

This year’s edition will come off on February 11, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Black Sherif was nominated in the Best New Artiste, Best Collaboration, Best Hip hop, Listeners Choice and Viewers Choice Awards respectively.

Burnaboy had the highest nominations of eight, with Rema and Asake receiving seven nominations.

Costa Titch, Kidi, and Ayra Starr also received four nominations, while Camidoh and Omah Lay got five nominations.

It honours exceptional accomplishments of African musicians in 15 different music categories, including Best Male MVP, Best Female MVP, and African Artiste of the Year.

The event will be organized at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
