Radius, the global mobility and connectivity leader based in Crewe, UK and operator of the UK Fuels network, has today announced a significant milestone in Belgium.

The company now has 200,000 active fuel cards and 80,000 customers in the country, with more than 10,000 of those being hybrid electric vehicle (EV) cards.

This number makes Belgium the country with the second highest number of fuel customers for Radius. Globally, it has 1.3 million fuel cards active across 18 countries and manages more than three billion litres of fuel.

The cards give fleet managers and drivers access to 98% of Belgium’s fuelling stations, enabling them to save money and time and manage business fuel usage effectively. All new fuel cards are EV-enabled, easing the transition to greener energy.

Radius Belgium also provides charge points for business or home installation, telematics enabling businesses to track their vehicles and assets, as well as innovative integrated telematics and dash cam solutions and mobile phone subscriptions.

Customers purchasing fuel with one of Radius’ own-brand fuel cards can manage transactions in the online account management portal, Radius Velocity, alongside other vehicle-related products spend.

Radius Velocity allows fleet managers to manage their business fuel easily and effectively. Free to all customers, the portal can be used to analyse fuel purchases by driver, location, time and volume with the ability to organise card users into groups. This enables frequent and accurate analysis to make informed business decisions to improve fuel efficiency.

Frederic de Broux, Country Director, Belgium, commented: “Belgium is an excellent example of how Radius is accelerating its presence in Europe. It’s great to see that our teams have been able to reach these important milestones given all the hard work they’ve put in. By continuing to develop our offering in Belgium, we are positioning ourselves as a one-stop-shop for mobility and connectivity solutions. We support our customers in their energy transition by giving them easy access to everything they need to keep their business moving forward profitably.”

Radius started operating in Belgium in 2004 and now has three offices, with the latest opening in Antwerp in 2022. It employs 120 people in the country.

Radius also offers a wide range of business fleet, mobility and connectivity services beyond fuel card provision, such as telematics and business telephony.
