Bono Region: NCCE preaches Ghana first attitude

The National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE) has reiterated the need for Ghanaians to put Ghana first in all their endeavours.

The NCCE engage security services in the Bono region, reminding them of their legitimate duty to protect and uphold the tenets of the 1992 constitution in their line of work.

The Bono Regional Director of the NCCE, Mrs Gbongbo Doris in an interview with Newshuntermag.com stated that security officials are the major stakeholders in unity and peaceful existence and they are the main target of the celebration.

According to the Regional Director, Article 3 of the 1992 constitution encourage citizens to defend the 1992 constitution against all forms of violation and abuse.

She averred that every citizen must know their rights as citizens, understand the principles and objectives laid down in the constitution to promote nation-building for a better Ghana.

Mrs Gbongbo said the commission would interact with the general public, display Civic messages on the duties of a citizen, intensify public education on constitutionalism.

ASP Regina Baidoo, second in command Sunyani Central Prisons on behalf of the security services applaud the NCCE for their inclusiveness of the security sector.

She pledged to the Commission to fulfil their legitimate duty as security personnel.
