A Ghanaian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), GraceWorld Foundation based in Mechelen City, Belgium had marked this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration with Children at the Dormaa Children’s Home in the Dormaa Municipality of the Bono Region.
The Founder of the Foundation, Reverend Charles Sarkodie, in an interview with Newshuntermag.com expressed joy that GraceWorld Foundation was with the children’s home on that special Ramadan season.
The Foundation donated cartons of assorted soft drinks, consumable goods, clothing and boxes of bottled drinking water.
The NGO also donated similar items together worth about GHC10,000.00 for inmates of the Sunyani Central Prisons on separate occasions.
The GraceWorld Foundation, according to Reverend Sarkodie was established to help the improvement of livelihoods of all less privileged and the needy individuals and groups living with us in the society.
He said, “It’s aimed at putting a smile on the faces of the needy and demonstrate a special love and care for them and let them feel recognized as part of society.”
Reverend DSP Gideon Ndebugri, the regional Chaplin, Sunyani Central Prisons, Ghana Prisons Service after receiving the items on behalf of the inmates thanked the Foundation for the donation.
Madam Davida Boakyewaa Cobbina in charge of the Dormaa Children’s home in a separate interview also expressed gratitude to GraceWorld foundation for the selfless support for the needy.
She pleaded with churches, charity organizations, philanthropist, individuals and other NGOs to help the home some sewing machines to sew dresses and school uniforms for children at the Dormaa Children’s Home.
