Police in Somanya have launched a manhunt to apprehend 8 individuals suspected to have been involved in a robbery at the SP Gas filling station at Trom in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, around 7:30 p.m. and lasted for about 10 minutes.
The robbers reportedly made off with an unspecified amount of money after subjecting the station’s attendants to brutal assaults to disclose the whereabouts of the daily earnings.
The culprits managed to escape before the police got to the scene.
The filling station’s owner has been asked to assist with the investigations while the public is encouraged to volunteer any information that could help track down the criminals.
